Shown are some of the standard block acetate colours. Acetate is also sometimes called zyl or plastic. We also have a further huge stock of this material for making frames that can only be described as 'exotic'. The most basic primary colours such as red, green, blue are available but not shown here and we are able to supply almost any colour including laminates and veneers. Your own frames that you send us for copying are closely matched for colour. Translucent hues dyed expertly. Every eyeglass, spectacle and sunglass frame we make is handcrafted with the material cut from a different part of the block acetate sheet. This means every piece is individually unique and in the case of tortoise shell and other mottled colours the variable patterns are very obvious leaving a very classic & traditional look. The final finish can be left shinny (gloss) or matt giving an aged look.
